A condo spanning to the entire 39th floor of the Waldorf Astoria at 11 East Walton Street has listed for $11.5 million.

The 7,500-square-foot, six-bedroom unit went up for sale last week, according to Redfin.

If the unit sells for its asking price, it would be the second most expensive residential sale in the city this year. A 10,000-square-foot unit at JDL Development’s 9 West Walton Street sold for $12.1 million in January.

In 2015, an investor group led by Laurence Geller bought the 188-key hotel below the condo portion of the building for $113 million, or about $600,000 per room — a record for a Chicago hotel.

The 60-story Waldorf Astoria building, which opened in 2010, is just across State Street from 9 West Walton Street, which dominated sales in the high-end of the city’s condo market last quarter.

The listing agent for the 39th-floor unit, according to Redfin, is @properties’ Philip Skowron.
