A tasty way to network

Three bedrooms, meet three courses: Welcome to the Internet TV marriage of cooking and real estate. Later this month, Judy Sahagian, who heads up the real estate networking company Judy Networks, will debut the first of five Web shows that will air on a rotating schedule once a week on LiveOpenHouse.TV, a real estate video production and hosting site.

The show is called “What’s Cooking in Real Estate?” The first episode will feature retail broker Faith Hope Consolo, architect Glen Coben (whose company has worked on high-profile restaurants like Del Posto and Compass), and Gail Green of Green & Company Interior Design.

Consolo will be preparing the appetizer, Coben will be on entrée duty, and Green will be prepping dessert — all while talking to Sahagian about the “sweet and sour” aspects of New York real estate.

Sahagian, who has not yet determined the menu for the show, which will tape May 11 in front of an audience at the Sub-Zero showroom in Midtown, said the goal is to create a new experience for real estate professionals looking to network.

“Everyone is doing conferences and networking events,” said Sahagian, who owned restaurants before she started up in the real estate business. “The market is cluttered.”

She said she hopes capitalizing on the value of the kitchen in real estate will add something fresh.

In fact, each episode of the show, which can be seen on and downloaded from LiveOpenHouse.TV, will feature a panel that includes realtors, architects and designers and will fit the show’s theme.

The guests will also be sharing their culinary concoctions with the audience, whose tickets (which range in price from $95 to $115, depending on when and how many are purchased) will get them the three-course meal, along with a networking event after the show. Sahagian said she’s sold 20 tickets so far and has 30 left.

Consolo said “What’s Cooking in Real Estate?” — which will air on the site May 19 — will be a nice reprieve from the real estate industry’s normally serious events.

The other four shows Sahagian has planned for the weekly rotation are called “Masters of Real Estate,” “Commercial Trends,” “Luxury Residential” and “Who’s Networking Now.”

Sahagian said she’s put in applications with the Food Network and HGTV, and hopes that one of the cable networks will pick up the shows.

“I want to be the Oprah of real estate,” she said.
