FXFowle teams up with L.A. architecture firm
New York City-based architecture company FXFowle and Los Angeles-based CO Architects have collaborated to form a joint venture firm to be known as CO/FXFowle, the two firms announced today. Each company will maintain its individual identity and operations while pursuing new projects nationwide together as CO/FXFowle, they said in a statement.
“We look forward to combining our shared philosophies and depth of experience as we pursue future opportunities together in order to create meaningful, sustainable architecture and interiors,” said Guy Geier, managing partner of FXFowle.
The new venture has already been invited to be one of three firms to participate in a competition to design a new building for a prestigious educational institution in New York City, the release said, though a spokesperson for the venture declined to provide specific details.
FXFowle is responsible for New York City projects such as 11 Times Square, while CO Architects has worked on developments like the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. — Katherine Clarke
