The Miami Heat’s James Johnson just closed on the home he’s been renting in Pinecrest.

The power forward paid $5.2 million for the seven-bedroom, 7,700-square-foot home at 8955 Southwest 63rd Court, joining fellow Heat players like Tyler Johnson and Dion Waiters, according to a source.

The property hit the market in 2016 for $5.35 million, and again in November for nearly $5.3 million, according to Realtor.com. Maria Enriqueta De Buttaci of David Kurz’s Kurz Real Estate Corp. is the listing agent. Najee Owens and Bobby Mahallati of London Foster Realty represented Johnson.

Kurz, who declined to identify Johnson, said the buyer had been renting the property for five months at a rate of $20,000 a month before buying the home.

The house features a home theater, pool and spa, and an outdoor kitchen. Property records show Silvano Buttaci and Yennie Quintero are the sellers. They paid $740,000 for the property in 2009 and built the home in 2013. It sits on a 38,000-square-foot lot.

Johnson joined the Heat on a one-year, $4 million contract in 2016, and signed a four-year, $60 million contract in July. Before that, he played for the Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors and other NBA teams.
