Broward condo sales jump in March to $300M 

Number of closings rose to 841 from 704 in February

Broward County’s condo sales jumped last month, with closings and total dollar volume higher than in February. 

March condo sales totaled $300 million, rising from $234 million in February. Brokers closed 841 sales last month, up from 704 sales in February and 632 in January, Multiple Listing Service data from Redfin show.

March sale prices ranged from $70,000 to $7.2 million, with a median sale price of $240,000. The price per square foot ranged from $74 to $1,682, with a median of $243 per square foot.

In February, sales closed with a median price of $245,250, and $236 per square foot.

A nearly $7.2 million closing at Auberge took the title of priciest sale last month. Unit S1805-1806 at 2200 North Ocean Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale sold for $1,682 per square foot after 158 days on the market. Steven Seigel with Compass handled both sides of the deal.

The sale price was more than February’s priciest sale. Unit S1803, also at Auberge, closed for $4.7 million.

In contrast, March’s cheapest sale was a Sunrise Lakes Phase 3 condo at 9041 Sunrise Lakes Boulevard in Sunrise. Unit 110 traded for $70,000 — or $113 per square foot — after 111 days on the market. Mervin Moss with RE/MAX Direct had the listing. Rairhard Rosas with The Acres Premier Properties represented the buyer.
