Corcoran Group has added its first affiliate in Massachusetts.

Brian Dougherty and Nick Robert launched Corcoran Property Advisors in Boston, plus a second office in Cohasset, according to a release.

Pam Liebman, president and CEO of New York-based Cocoran, said a Boston expansion makes sense and is in line with the firm’s strategy to grow the flagship brand in key markets.

“There has always been a strong northeast synergy between New York City, Corcoran’s first market, and the greater Boston area,” Liebman said in a release.

Stephanie Anton, president of Corcoran Affiliates, added that Boston has long been a growth target for the firm. She believes former Compass brokers Dougherty and Robert were the best choice to grow the brand in a market with diverse offerings that include high-end urban and oceanside properties.

Dougherty was previously leading the Private Brokerage agent team at Compass, where he oversaw more than $500 million in deals.

Robert partnered with Dougherty in 2019, joining the team as executive director.

With their Corcoran affiliate, the duo will lead a team of 8 agents. Their Boston office is on the first block of the tony Newbury Street, and the other is on the main strip of the upscale oceanside town of Cohasset, which is nestled between the city and Cape Cod.

Since 2020, Corcoran’s Affiliate Network has been expanding domestically and abroad. Last year, the firm launched U.S. affiliates in Northern California, New Jersey and Texas. Internationally, Corcoran has moved into Italy and Canada.

Just last week, Corcoran announced its expansion in Houston with another pair of power brokers. Corcoran Genesis, owned and led by Nicole Freer and Doug Freer, will work in the Bayou City’s suburbs.
